IN SYMPATHY WITH AFRICAN AMERICAN ACTIVIST “MUMIA” AND FORMER IVORIAN HEAD OF STATE “LAURENT GBAGBO
The late “NELSON MANDELA said one day, we must forgive but not forget… But the question is today when looking around the world, does Justice stand for all mankind? Furthermore, let’s righteousness covers the earth like water covers the sea, someone sait it in his relevant lyrics! Let’s come to the facts and the basis:Black american “MUMIA” has been behind the bars in USA for many decades. So is former ivorian head of state “LAURENT GBAGBO” in the Netherlands(international court-lahaye).It seems that those former freedom fighters are deliberately the conspicuous hostages of the international judicial system when IMPERIALISM is still making the rules indirectly on international judicial grounds… Who feels it, knows it definitely! That situation is still fostering a deep frustration among the international left-wing party also in the black dispora in the third world. As well as in “RUSSIA”where officials keep on arguing about that predominant issue.
Moreover, we keep on asking ourselves just to focus the attention of the whole international community regardless of race, creed. The thing is to deal with humanity and sympathy. As far as black american activist MUMIA and LAURENTGBAGBO are concerned, because we feel that actions must speak louder than words today…
Meanwhile, today the main issue of the judicial independence raises the conspicuous problem of how international judges in the NETHERLANDS are selected. We are eager to know wether there will be no partiality on judicial grounds ….In the same trend, judges generally see it as their task to uphold the dominant values of society in order to stabilise the social order and to bring down proud and committed third world leaders nowadays .
Let’s take the example of great BRITAIN where some wellkown writers see a conservative bias in the higher judiciary, shown by unfavourable attitudes to the trade union movement of the seventies and eighties.More disturbing, perhaps, has been the record of judicial conduct in trials involving alleged IRISH REPUBLICAN ARMY (IRA) terrorists. Senior judges, supposedly guardians of the criminal justice system, seemed unable to prevent or even rectify palpably unsafe verdicts. In
consequence, British Justice was seriously discredited at that particular period. That reality stems from more Professional arrogance than from ideological bias or the upper-class social backgrounds of judges.Basically, senior judges were loath to admit that the criminal justice system could make very serious mistakes. There are not perfect indeed. In the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, behavioural research into judicial behaviour has also pointed out that judges’ decision in court are strongly related to their political views but the affect of social background on judges’ views appears to be fairlyweak.
Finallly, we keep on wondering whether judges’decision in the NETHERLANDS(international court-la haye), as far as the case of former ivorian head of state “LAURENT GBAGBO” is concerned, will be related to the political views , international lobbying or on objective lawful grounds?
Wait and see, because Time will really tell one day….
“FREE MUMIA ANF LAURENT GBAGBO”.WE WILL NEVER GIVE UP NOR SURRENDER. GIVE JUSTICE A CHANCE!
